Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Accounting, or related field with 3 years of pre‑award management or research administration experience.
• Alternatively, a relevant bachelor’s degree with 5 years of progressively responsible research administration experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience managing staff.
• Demonstrated expertise in university research administration with knowledge of federal, state, and foundation sponsor requirements.
• Working knowledge of Uniform Guidance and FAR; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Sponsored Program Officers and Pre‑Award Specialists.
• Assign workload, oversee proposal requirements, budgeting, and award terms.
• Coordinate training and update policies for the unit.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and develop improvements.
