Qualifications

• Registration, Scheduling, Pre-certifications/ prior authorizations experience in a hospital or medical office setting.
• 1–2 years of equivalent experience in patient access or related role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to meet productivity and quality measures.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Verification: initiates online verification or calls carriers to confirm benefits and obtain precertifications for outpatient services.
• Documentation: records eligibility, benefits and precert information in Epic accurately.
• Worklists: prioritizes daily tasks to maintain department productivity.
• Secure Accounts: ensures accounts are secured in a timely manner per standards.
• Communication: reports improvements and issues to department management.
• Other duties as assigned.
