Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is hiring a Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) RN or LPN at the Downtown Urology ASC for full-time employment.

The role provides total patient care from admission through discharge, including nursing assessment, planning and evaluation with potential support in procedure rooms and sedation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN/LPN School of Nursing.
• Active RN or LPN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make nursing judgments and prioritize workload.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Evaluate patient condition with focus on safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide total care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation and plan discharge.

Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) Registered Nurse or LPN at Urology ASC - Downtown

The Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) Registered Nurse OR LPN provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN/LPN School of Nursing
• Active RN or LPN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
