Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• 1–3 years RN experience; orthopedic, neurosurgical, pain management preferred.
• Current state RN license; BLS; ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent communication and computer skills; ability to manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Screening for Surgeries; apply nursing process to plan, implement and discharge planning.
• Adhere to age-specific standards; administer medications with regard to analgesia or anesthesia.
• Coordinate with physicians and care team; educate patients and families.
• Engage in performance improvement activities and uphold safety standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with hospital policies.
