Job summary

NorDx in Brunswick, ME, part of MaineHealth, seeks a manager to supervise the pre-analytic laboratory team, overseeing day-to-day operations and HR responsibilities. You will schedule workload, provide technical direction, and monitor quality to meet performance standards.

The role requires ensuring training and competency assessments are completed; you may perform pre-analytic tasks as needed, with a focus on maintaining high-quality lab processes.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED or Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Certification as a Phlebotomist and/or Medical Laboratory Assistant required (ASCP, ASPT, AMT, NPA, NCC, NHA, CPT).
• 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Laboratory Assistant required, previous Lead or Supervisor experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint required

Responsibilities

• Provides day to day supervision to the pre-analytic laboratory team for operations and HR management.
• Accounts for scheduling and work distribution.
• Provides technical direction, develops, monitors, and takes action to improve overall department quality.
• Ensures training and competency assessments are completed.
• May perform pre-analytic functions when needed.
