Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Analytical Assistant I to support specimen processing and laboratory operations at our client's facility in Miramar, FL. This 13-week contract role requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include sorting, centrifuging, aliquoting specimens, handling and transporting samples, ensuring proper test orders, documenting activities, and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and reliable in a fast-paced clinical lab environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and specimen types is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport, deliver, and store specimens according to procedures.
• Identify issues with specimen types, missing information, and test-order requirements.
• Follow procedures related to specimen handling, test ordering, compliance, and safety.
• Complete required documentation accurately within established timeframes.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area according to standards.
• Meet quality and productivity expectations after training.
• Support departmental staffing needs, including occasional weekends, holidays, overtime, or on-call assignments as required.

Job Summary

This role performs essential pre-analytical functions in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment and requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow procedures related to specimen handling, test ordering, compliance, and safety.
• Complete required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.

• Support departmental staffing needs, including occasional weekends, holidays, overtime, or on-call assignments as required.

• Pay Range : $17 - $19 (Hourly)
