Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Pre-Admission Testing Registered Nurse to obtain preop health histories and prepare patients for scheduled surgery.
You will work closely with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure all clinical and administrative requirements are met. Responsibilities include conducting preoperative interviews, educating patients on protocols, documenting in the EHR, administering medications, and assisting with post-operative care and discharge planning.
Monday - Friday: 5 days a week
8am - 430pm (8 hours a day)
Preop phone calls for surgical patients.
Obtaining a preop health history and pertinent information from patients to make sure they are properly evaluated prior to surgery. Works closely with other team members and anesthesia.
A Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Registered Nurse evaluates and prepares patients for scheduled surgical or procedural interventions. They conduct physical assessments, review medical histories. The RN educates patients and ensures all clinical and administrative requirements are met to prevent day-of-surgery delays. Periodically this role will work in Pre OP/Recovery to support team and patient care.
