Job summary

Chattanooga Pain Center is seeking a compassionate Pre-Admissions RN to join our team. You will conduct pre-op assessments, review histories, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia, and educate patients to ensure seamless surgical experiences.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or major holidays, a supportive team, and competitive compensation. If you excel in fast-paced settings and patient education, we’d love to hear from you!

Qualifications

• Active TN (or compact state) RN license and BLS certification.
• Experience in Pre-Admissions or Pre Op.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-admission assessments for ambulatory surgery patients
• Review medical histories, medications, and required clearances
• Educate patients on pre-op and post-op care
• Coordinate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide patient-centered support

About the Role

As a Pre-Admissions RN, you will play a crucial role in preparing patients for their upcoming procedures by ensuring they are medically optimized and fully informed. You’ll conduct pre-op assessments, review medical histories, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia teams, and provide patient education—all while delivering exceptional care.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct thorough pre-admission assessments for all our ambulatory surgery patients
• Review medical histories, medications, and necessary clearances to ensure surgical readiness
• Educate patients on pre-op and post-op care, setting them up for a smooth recovery
• Coordinate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams to optimize patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide compassionate, patient-centered support

What We’re Looking for

• Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state license) and BLS certification
• Experience in Pre-Admissions or Pre Op
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
