Job summary

St. Peter's Hospital, part of St. Peter's Health Partners, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing (Full-time, Day shift) to support patients preparing for surgery.

You will assess patients, coordinate services, and provide preoperative teaching while reviewing charts and addressing diagnostic issues with physicians and the anesthesia team. Opportunities for clinical education and growth are available.

Qualifications

• Active NYS RN license.
• ASN or BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of ACUTE care nursing experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients in pre-admission testing and coordinate needed preoperative services.
• Review charts and resolve diagnostic test issues prior to surgery.
• Interface with physicians, their office staff and the anesthesia department daily.
• Provide preoperative teaching for all types of surgery.
