Job summary

USPI Northwest Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Pre-Admissions Testing RN to join our team on the Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital campus. The role involves coordinating pre-admission assessments, collaborating with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team, and documenting care plans to ensure optimal perioperative flow.

Weekdays only; some early mornings and later evenings may be required. The Pre-Admission Nurse focuses on age-specific patient needs, nursing diagnoses, and planned

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting.
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
• Excellent teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and assist with pre-admission assessment data collection and analysis.
• Identify patient outcomes and develop a care plan in collaboration with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
