Job summary

FOX VALLEY ORTHOPEDICS in Geneva, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Admissions to assess and prepare patients for surgery, perform pre-operative phone assessments, review histories, and arrange pre-surgical testing. The role requires an IL RN license, 3+ years of medical-surgical experience, and a BSN preferable; schedule is Monday–Friday with full-time status and a pay range of $33.00–$40.50 per hour.

A BSN is preferred, and licensure in Illinois is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing; IL license required.
• 3+ years medical-surgical experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including reviewing medical history, medications, allergies, and prior surgical experiences.
• Coordinate necessary pre-operative testing (labs, imaging, EKGs) and ensure results are communicated to the surgical team.
• Identify risks (anesthesia concerns, comorbidities) and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to develop care plans.
