Job summary

Arnot Health in Elmira, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing (PAT). You will review medical histories, coordinate required testing, provide preoperative education, and partner with physicians to optimize patient readiness for surgery.

Responsibilities include assessing and planning perioperative care, delivering intraoperative nursing support with aseptic technique, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia, documenting assessments, and promoting safety and continuous

Qualifications

Registered professional nurse with current NYS license or eligible to obtain.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative nursing care to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Provide direct intraoperative patient care while maintaining aseptic technique and adherence to surgical safety standards.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care throughout the surgical experience.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Promote quality, safety, and continuous improvement through compliance with policies, emergency preparedness, patient advocacy, and professional development activities.
