Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Group, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is hiring a Practice Manager to oversee daily operations across assigned practices in strict compliance with federal and state guidelines. You will collaborate with departments to optimize workflow, budgets, and revenue cycle performance while leading recruitment and staff development.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or 5–7 years healthcare supervision experience, with strong MS Office, EMR, and billing terminology

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; healthcare experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
  • 5–7 years in healthcare with at least 2 years in a supervisor capacity.
  • 3–5 years supervisory experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of office software, EMR, billing terminology, revenue cycle and staff management.

Responsibilities

The Practice Manager is responsible for daily operations management and supervision of assigned practice(s) in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • The practice manager will maintain regulatory compliance and is responsible for maintenance of licenses/certifications, primary source validation, proper credentialing with health system medical staff office and payers. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (CBO, marketing, quality team, business development, finance, A/P, payroll, human resources, c-suite, facilities, vendors, corporate and local administration) to ensure effective and efficient practice operations.
  • Practice manager will be the primary practice liaison to internal and external stakeholders. Manages departmental expenses cost effectively, monitors revenue cycle operations, volume and revenue generation to assure practice budgets are met and provider subsidies are kept to a minimum.
  • Participates in annual operating and capital budgeting and provider and employee recruitment and onboarding. Demonstrates service excellence, conveys professionalism, and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • In lieu of degree, 5-7 years of healthcare experience with at leasttwo (2) years being in a supervisor capacity.
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, EMR systems, medical and billingterminology, healthcare/hospital office settings, service excellence, revenue cycle operations andrecruiting, training, leading and performance management of staff.
  • Multitasking, decision making, process improvement, project management, interpersonalcommunication, leadership, computer proficiency, excellent customer service and business savvy.
  • Operate within the concept of patient focused care.
  • Standard office equipment (laptop, computer, calculator, fax, copier, scanner).
  • HOPD or outpatient medical office setting.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and also multi-site travel
