Job description

Description

In this role, you will oversee the business and patient care functions of the assigned UCLA Health Community Clinic.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Supervising the medical front and back office staff
  2. Coordinating clinical services
  3. Providing daily administrative and operational oversight
  4. Managing physical space

Salary Range: $32.95-$67.53/hour

Qualifications

Required:

  • Demonstrated effective supervisory skills including experience in recruitment, performance appraisal, communication of expectations, discipline, and training.
  • Skill in analyzing information and procedures to define objectives, identify patterns, and recognize alternatives and their implications.
  • Proficiency in operating a personal computer and software programs, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Interpersonal skills to promote a cooperative and productive work environment and to maintain relationships with faculty, residents, medical students, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to prepare accurate and concise reports and memorandums using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
  • Knowledge of computerized appointment scheduling and registration systems, with the ability to train staff in their use.
  • Understanding of major medical insurance plans.
  • Availability to work occasional weekends or evenings as required.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of University and Hospital policies and procedures related to patient registration, cashiering, risk management, and personnel.
  • Familiarity with the CareConnect system.
  • Experience managing patient services and nursing staff in a private practice or community clinic.
  • Accounting skills for budgeting and financial analysis.
