ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Practice Manager plays a highly visible role in the organization, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational efficiency and effectiveness of a care center. This includes strategic planning, resource management, and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to ensure high-quality patient care, profitability, and overall operational excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure a best-in-class patient experience by implementing initiatives to enhance satisfaction.
  • Manage the Care Center P&L, working with the finance team to develop budgets and analyze financial data to meet financial goals.
  • Collect and analyze care center data to improve quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Address and resolve operational issues within the care center.
  • Train and lead the Care Center team (e.g., MA, Front Desk, Referral Coordinators) and oversee their ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to the organization's strategic planning and oversee care center performance.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to achieve organizational goals.
  • Drive efficient patient flow, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Be proficient in all staff tasks, providing training and corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Yes

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • Strong background in managed care with accountability for center-level P&L.
  • Minimum of 3 years in healthcare operations management.
  • At least 2 years managing medical clinics or healthcare facilities.
  • Leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical reasoning, and decision-making skills.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and make informed decisions.
  • Motivational skills to inspire teams.
  • Ability to learn and navigate organizational technology such as EMR and phone systems.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with PowerBI.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General office environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception. Frequent travel and exposure to variable weather conditions are expected.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

TRAVEL:

Primarily local during the workday, with some out-of-area and overnight travel expected.
