Location: VIRTUAL/REMOTE (Florida)

Job Type/Status: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide information, education, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to ensure that each child receives the services they require.
  2. Assess the safety and appropriateness of placements on an ongoing basis using child welfare principles and social work best practices, including conducting calls, interviews, and home visits.
  3. Develop individual case plans considering culture, language, and special circumstances.
  4. Maintain accurate case files by updating database systems, submitting reports, and managing physical case files.
  5. Build a network of local pro bono legal resources, food and clothing banks, mental health services, and care providers to establish services for youth.
  6. Track individual progress via an online database.
  7. Coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders.
  8. Participate in regular training and communication sessions with supervisors and headquarters staff.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards outlined in the employee handbook.
  10. Meet or exceed program productivity expectations regularly.
  11. Perform duties remotely from home as required.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related field such as education, psychology, sociology, or behavioral sciences.
  2. Bilingual in English and Spanish or access to professional interpretation services.
  3. Experience conducting PRS assessments according to state requirements and skilled in writing professional assessment reports.
  4. Knowledge of local social services, experience with home studies, and working with immigrant populations.
  5. Understanding of family preservation, kinship care, and child welfare.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
  7. Sensitivity to cultural and socio-economic differences.
  8. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  9. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team.
  10. Willingness to travel up to 50% within and outside the state with short notice.
  11. Completion of required medical testing and criminal background checks, including TB testing, physical exam, and child abuse record checks.
