Job summary

Langan is seeking a Practice Leader - Civil Engineering to join its collaborative Inland Empire team in California. This role leads design, permitting, and client development for varied land development projects, partnering with senior leadership to deliver milestones from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 15+ years of site/civil experience in land development, strong client management skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and PE license.
• 15+ years of site/civil land development experience.
• Strong client development and project leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred.
• Active participation in professional organizations and proposal writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial and mixed-use sites for public and private clients.
• Lead staffing and growth plans for the Inland Empire office.
• Identify and pursue new clients and opportunities; participate in business development meetings.
• Oversee junior staff and provide coaching and training.
• Lead site/civil design including grading, drainage and infrastructure.
• Lead storm water management and SWPPP processes; integrate geotechnical and environmental considerations.
