Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is seeking a Practice Group Support Coordinator for its Litigation practice group in Chicago or Miami. The role reports to the Manager of Legal Practice Support and involves coordinating administrative and legal support for a high-volume commercial litigation team.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years in a professional services setting, with strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Coordinate workflow and assignments for the practice group and case teams.
  • Organize and maintain case filings, emails, and client information in digital and physical forms.
  • Assist with e-filing, hearings, calendaring, and service of process across multiple courts.
  • Support the development and management of case and practice group timelines and pleadings.

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Practice Group Support Coordinator for the Litigation practice group reporting to the Manager of Legal Practice Support and will be responsible for assisting with a variety of administrative and legal support functions to assist the Commercial Litigation and Enforcement group in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. This position will reside in our Chicago or Miami office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule which allows you to work collaboratively in the office 3 days and remote 2 days a week.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate uninterrupted administrative support coverage for all operational protocols and systems in place
  • Provide support with management and coordination of administrative and operational projects, and ongoing support systems
  • Coordinate workflow and assignments
  • Establishes, organizes and maintains case filings, emails and correspondence
  • Assists with the organization and management of case and client information manually and digitally through the use of electronic databases
  • Coordinate, maintain, and provide oversight for file maintenance, storage, and disposition
  • Coordinates hearings, service of process, filings and calendaring for a high-volume practice, across multiple courts and jurisdictions
  • Performs research for judicial rules and procedures in various courts (State and Federal)
  • Assists practice group with e-filing documents
  • Supports the development and management of case and practice group timelines
  • Assists attorneys and case teams with the preparation and review of various pleadings, discovery and document production materials
  • Distributes draft documents to attorneys and clients
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, plus A minimum of 3 years related experience in a professional services environment, preferably law firm setting or in-house general counsel’s office Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience working in a law firm or legal department focusing on litigation strongly preferred
  • Project management skills Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands

For positions in Chicago, IL the salary range for this position is $62,000.00 - $99,200.00

The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
