Job summary

Smile Doctors Orthodontics in Pickerington, OH is seeking a Clinic Manager to lead daily operations, support the Doctor, and uphold the highest patient care standards. You will drive clinic culture, manage staff, and ensure adherence to protocols and regulations.

You will oversee budgeting, vendor relations, and local marketing efforts while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism across all interactions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of clinic experience for internal candidates.
• 2 years of supervisory experience for external candidates.
• Orthodontic or dental experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Smile Doctors Orthodontics is seeking a Clinic Manager to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Doctor to create a positive clinical culture, ensuring team behaviors reflect both clinical excellence and high patient care standards
• Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and a positive demeanor, ensuring the office culture reflects company values
• Ensure clinic team is trained on and adopts new tools, protocols and initiatives
• Understand and monitor Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to achieve monthly goals
• Build relationships within the local dental community and participate in local marketing efforts
• Manage controllable costs, including but not limited to labor hours and supplies
• Serve as a liaison between the Doctor and the team regarding work assignments, schedules, clinical priorities, and job performance
• Handle patient escalations to resolve in a mutually beneficial way
• Covers roles in the clinic when business demands arise
• Follow established protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA and State Dental Board regulations

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Immediate proficiency with software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Prerequisites for Success

• Internal Applicants: 2 years of clinic experience within Smile Doctors or an affiliated practice clinic; High school diploma required.
• External Applicants: 2 years of supervisory experience required; Orthodontic or dental experience preferred; high school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong coaching and conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance goals
• Strong time management skills with ability to multi‑task and prioritize work
