Position Overview

The Practice Coordinator supports and maintains the practice administratively and operationally. Responsibilities include supporting the TH Hospital Medicine (THHM) Facility Medical Director, VP of Client Service, Regional Medical Director, and TH HM provider staff, working with hospital administration to meet needs, and managing patient records and billing documentation. The role involves maintaining accurate data, gathering facility metrics, and ensuring compliance with productivity standards.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Carry out duties as directed by TeamHealth
  • Communicate regularly with the designated Supervisor
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Access hospital information systems to procure patient data for billing
  • Coordinate completion of physician documentation and work with medical directors for complete records
  • Notify Supervisor of process deviations and seek assistance as needed
  • Achieve individual and facility target goals
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct
  • Support facility leadership and coordinate meetings and dashboards
  • Manage distribution of messages and miscellaneous tasks as assigned
  • Obtain and verify inpatient records, ensuring completeness before batching
  • Ship work to the Billing Operations Center and maintain supplies
  • Communicate with supervisors and physicians regarding incomplete records
Job Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience in a hospital or physician office setting, with knowledge of medical records, patient registration, and documentation. A BA or equivalent experience is preferred. Skills include excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building abilities, proficiency in Excel and Word, and the ability to work independently and accurately.

Work Conditions

This remote position requires independence, punctuality, and adherence to schedules. It involves sitting, standing, lifting (up to 10 pounds), and working with office equipment. Flexibility for overtime or additional hours may be necessary.
