Job summary

• Must hold one of the listed coding credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, RN).
• Must have minimum of 2 years hospital and/or physician practice coding experience or successful completion of the Revenue Integrity Internship Program.
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to work independently with diverse personnel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Code procedures and enter charges to comply with federal/state regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate with Practice Coordinator and Revenue Integrity to ensure documentation supports selected codes or to code cases as needed.
• Participate in audits to evaluate code accuracy and develop methodologies to improve coding issues identified.
