Job summary

O’Melveny invites applications for a Practice Analyst in Century City to support firm-wide legal project management, budgeting, and KPI monitoring. The role reports to Practice Managers and enables efficient delivery of services across Litigation and Corporate Departments.

You will help prepare work plans, analyze client performance data, and assist with Outside Counsel Guidelines and pricing controls, while producing financial reports for matter teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
• 5 years of experience in practice management, financial analysis, or similar.
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Track budgets and provide weekly client reporting on scope changes and metrics.
• Assist in preparing work plans and evaluating resources for matter teams.
• Create financial reports for matters teams, including utilization and profitability.
• Monitor progress against economic targets and initiate follow-up as needed.
• Analyze client performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assess profitability of traditional hourly and alternative fee arrangements.
• Perform ad hoc projects and analyses for Practice Managers.
• Support strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations of Litigation and Corporate Departments.
