Job summary

BRCC seeks a dedicated Nursing educator to join the Academic & Student Affairs team in Baton Rouge for a 9-month unclassified faculty appointment. This role centers on instructional responsibilities in nursing education.

The position requires an active RN license and an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), with at least three years of clinical nursing experience. Duties include teaching, advising, and college service.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations, faculty and healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of clinical compliance requirements, accreditation standards, and nursing education best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning experiences aligned with students' needs and abilities.
• Use learning resources to help students learn and assess progress.
• Maintain syllabi, office hours, and accurate grade records.
• Advise students and assist with registration, orientation, and recruitment.
• Participate in departmental meetings and faculty evaluation processes.
• Contribute to the college through service and professional development.
