Job summary

Pennsylvania Institute of Technology's Practical Nursing Program seeks a qualified full-time nursing faculty member to provide didactic instruction and simulation/clinical teaching. You will assess student performance, maintain records, and contribute to curriculum development under the PN Program Director.

Expect involvement in program reviews and ongoing enhancement using evidence-based models. The role requires a BSN (MSN preferred), PA RN licensure, CPR, and teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PPT and Zoom.
• Experience with a LMS such as Canvas, Moodle or Blackboard.
• Exceptional people skills.
• Must be a licensed RN for at least two (2) years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person didactic, simulation, clinical, and laboratory instruction using approved syllabi.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory standards.
• Foster an engaging, inclusive learning environment to promote student success.
• Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records, submit grades, and enforce attendance policies.
• Identify at-risk students and contribute to remediation and support plans.
• Mentor and advise students through scheduled meetings and academic support.
• Participate in curriculum development, evaluation, and program improvement.
• Recommend textbooks, resources, and instructional materials to the Program Manager or Director.
• Participate in committees and other assigned activities.
• Create and update course content, exams, and assessments aligned with outcomes.
• Use assessment data and evidence-based practices to improve courses.
• Incorporate multiple teaching modalities to meet diverse learning needs.
