HappyRobot Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a bold PR and communications professional to define how the world perceives us as we expand beyond logistics into enterprise AI.

You will own PR strategy, build media relationships with journalists and analysts, and translate technical work into compelling narratives for executives and customers.

This role reports to Head of Marketing, operates leanly, and collaborates with Growth and Content to align moments with campaigns.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in PR, communications, or journalism, ideally with in-house experience at a B2B tech or AI company.
• A track record of securing meaningful, high-quality media coverage and existing relationships with journalists and outlets.
• Excellent writing skills — precise and compelling across press releases, pitches, executive talking points, and social content.
• Strong news judgment and the ability to spot and shape a story from technical or dense material.
• Comfort working independently and moving fast in a lean, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Shape perceptions of HappyRobot with strategies, stories, and announcements that advance how the world thinks about us
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and analysts across tech, business, and logistics/enterprise trade media
• Package company news, product launches, and customer wins into pitches that secure meaningful media coverage
• Translate technical work into compelling narratives for specific audiences (e.g., enterprise operations leaders)
• Manage company news and announcements across owned channels (blog, press, and email) and ensure consistent tone and brand voice
• Prioritize and manage inbound speaking, podcast, and award opportunities - Manage relationships with external PR agencies or freelance support, and align with broader marketing campaigns
