Job summary

Destination Cleveland offers a self-motivated PR/communications internship in Cleveland, OH. This 16-week program runs Spring 2027 (January 06 - April 30) with a $1,000 monthly stipend and a $50/month stipend supplement, totaling roughly $1,050 per month.

The role involves updating media materials, writing content for releases, tracking media, and supporting media relations. You'll gain broad experience across destination PR, media relations, and industry networking within the hospitality

Qualifications

• Experience in communications-related internship or relevant classwork.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Self-motivated and team player attitude
• Familiar with Cleveland and the surrounding Northeast Ohio region
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• PR Materials & Resources Maintenance: update media fact sheets and media section of website (Cleveland in the News and Cleveland Accolades).
• PR Writing: describe new attractions, hotels, restaurants for news releases and itineraries; assist with news releases and newsletters.
• Media Tracking: assist with tracking media coverage and updating media logs.
• Media Relations: assist with content for local leisure media pitches and talking points; research outlets for media list development.
• List Development & Maintenance: create/update lists for local breweries, restaurants and events.
• Other duties as assigned.
