Job summary

Destination Cleveland is offering a spring PR/communications internship designed to provide hands-on experience across media relations, writing, and content curation for visiting media and local partners.

You will contribute to materials updates, press releases, and media lists while gaining exposure to a hospitality-focused marketing environment with mentoring and portfolio-building opportunities inside a nationally recognized organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications-related internship or relevant coursework preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team.
• Excellent organizational skills; able to work independently.
• Familiar with Cleveland and Northeast Ohio region; MS Office proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PR materials and media resources; update website sections.
• Draft descriptions of attractions, hotels, restaurants for news releases and itineraries.
• Track media coverage and update media logs.
• Assist with media pitches, talks points, and media trips organization.
• Create and update lists for local events, venues, and partners.
