Job summary

Havas Red New York is seeking a Public Relations Assistant for a full-time, 4-month internship. The role supports account teams on client projects, builds media relationships, and contributes to press materials and pitches.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, in-office with limited days in the office, and compensation is $22.00 per hour with overtime eligibility. The program is designed for those new to PR, offering classroom-style and on-the-job learning, and potential extension within the Havas

Qualifications

• Strong writing (AP style), editing, listening and verbal communications skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and media databases.
• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, liberal arts, business or marketing focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support account teams on client projects and build media/influencer relationships.
• Assist with press kits, media mailers, sample requests and inventory tracking.
• Draft client-ready emails, press materials, and pitches for review by a manager.
• Participate in agency programs and contribute to team culture and timekeeping.
