• Verify appropriate patient classification and reimbursement group assignments (CMGs).
• Conduct audits of assessments, documentation, and billing information to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Provide education and guidance to staff on IRF-PAI requirements and documentation standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, chart reviews, and audit activities.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are currently looking for an ambitious PPS Coordinator to join our on-site team. The PPS Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely completion of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) to ensure regulatory compliance, appropriate reimbursement, and quality patient care outcomes. This role collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to validate documentation, support accurate patient assessments, conduct audits, provide staff education, and monitor performance improvement initiatives within the inpatient rehabilitation program.

Your duties and responsibilities may include:

• Ensure accurate and timely completion and submission of IRF-PAI assessments.
• Maintain current knowledge of IRF-PAI regulations, software, and documentation requirements.
• Review patient records and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure accurate documentation and patient assessments
• Verify appropriate patient classification and reimbursement group assignments (CMGs).

• Provide education and guidance to staff on IRF-PAI requirements and documentation standards.

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech Therapist (ST).
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital or inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Licensed clinicians in other disciplines (such as MSW) may be considered with 2+ years of direct PPS Coordinator experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation documentation, regulatory compliance, patient assessments, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to audit records, ensure documentation accuracy, and provide staff education and guidance
