Join Our Team as a PPM Laborer I - Lakeland, FL

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Plant Laborer at MOR PPM, Inc. in Lakeland, Florida. The primary responsibility involves reading meters and supporting construction and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Reading meters
• Assisting crew members with construction and maintenance tasks
• Working overtime or alternate hours as needed for department efficiency

Important safety note: This role requires the use of fall protection, safety harness, and 100% tie-off at all times. Please do not apply if you are afraid of heights.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of construction experience; experience in power plant maintenance and repair is preferred

Special Requirements:

• Ability to pass and maintain Confined Space training (C & M Division)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of power plant maintenance equipment and practices
• Understanding of safety rules and procedures
• Skill in using construction tools and equipment
• Ability to operate power hand tools safely
• Good comprehension of written and oral instructions
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Capability to perform manual, semi-skilled, and skilled tasks

Physical and Job Site Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined, uneven, and heights-requiring spaces
• Full range of motion and stamina to perform duties
• Climb ladders and maintain balance
• Respond to voice commands and alarms effectively
• Visual acuity and color discrimination necessary for working at heights
• Safety/Steel toe shoes required
