Job summary

Parkview Health in Indiana seeks a Medical Assistant to support daily clinical and clerical operations in the physician practice. You will collaborate with the physician team to provide high-quality patient care and reliable support to providers through clear communication.

Must have completed an MA program with certification eligibility. CMA/RMA/CCMA or related credentials with CPR required; prior physician office experience preferred. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school graduate or GED and completed an MA program.
• Certification eligibility requirements must be met for MA credentials.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through AAMA or other recognized MA credentials.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in a medical office or clinic preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; basic computer/EMR proficiency.

• Assist with daily clinical and clerical operations in the physician practice.
• Collaborate with the physician team to provide quality patient care and support to providers.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Handle routine office tasks and ensure accurate charting and documentation.

This position is eligible for a $2,000 – 4,000 sign-on bonus

Summary

Responsible for assisting with daily clinical and clerical operations of the assigned physician practice(s). Works in collaboration with physician team to provide quality care to patients and quality support to providers through consistent communication.

Education

Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.

Licensure/Certification

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). CPR required.

Experience

Medical assistant or physician office experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must have solid verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, clinical quality initiatives preferred. Must be familiar with computers, electronic medical record experience preferred. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
