Job summary

Parkview Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support daily clinical and clerical operations within the physician practice. You will collaborate with the physician team to deliver quality patient care and provide reliable support to providers through clear communication.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a qualifying medical assistant program, and CPR certification. Prior medical office experience is preferred; EMR proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.
• CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily clinical and clerical operations of the assigned physician practice(s).

Summary

Education

Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.

Licensure/Certification

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). CPR required.

Experience

Medical assistant or physician office experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must have solid verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, clinical quality initiatives preferred. Must be familiar with computers, electronic medical record experience preferred. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
