Job summary

Parkview Health in Indiana is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily clinical and clerical operations within the physician practice, ensuring smooth patient flow and quality care. You will work with the physician team to coordinate care, perform routine tasks, and communicate with patients, families, and staff.

Must complete an approved medical assistant program and hold CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certification with CPR required. Prior EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or GED and complete a medical assistant program.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in medical office preferred.
• Familiarity with computers and EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily clinical and clerical operations of the physician practice.
• Collaborate with physician team to ensure quality patient care.
• Provide effective communication with patients and providers.
• Handle basic administrative tasks as needed.

Summary

This position is eligible for a $2,000 - 4,000 sign-on bonus

Responsible for assisting with daily clinical and clerical operations of the assigned physician practice(s). Works in collaboration with physician team to provide quality care to patients and quality support to providers through consistent communication.

Education

Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.

Licensure/Certification

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). CPR required.

Experience

Medical assistant or physician office experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must have solid verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, clinical quality initiatives preferred. Must be familiar with computers, electronic medical record experience preferred. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
