Job summary

Parkview Health seeks a motivated Medical Assistant to support daily clinical and clerical operations in the physician practice. You will work closely with the physician team to deliver quality care and provide robust support to providers through clear communication.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a medical assistant program, and CPR certification, with CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED and have completed a medical assistant program meeting certification eligibility.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), National Certification options preferred; CPR required.
• Medical assistant or physician office experience preferred; familiarity with computers and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily clinical and clerical operations of the physician practice(s).
• Collaborate with the physician team to provide quality care and support to providers through effective communication.
• Maintain accurate records, assist with patient flow, and support CPR/compliance requirements.

This position is eligible for a $2,000 – 4,000 sign-on bonus

Summary

Responsible for assisting with daily clinical and clerical operations of the assigned physician practice(s). Works in collaboration with physician team to provide quality care to patients and quality support to providers through consistent communication.

Education

Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.

Licensure/Certification

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). CPR required.

Experience

Medical assistant or physician office experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must have solid verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, clinical quality initiatives preferred. Must be familiar with computers, electronic medical record experience preferred. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
