Job summary

PACCAR Inc is seeking a Validation Engineer in Texas to identify synergies between program tests and test properties, reducing validation expense and improving resource efficiency. You will work with Engineering and Reliability teams to complete FMEAs and track DVPRs, RTSs, and validation results to ensure robust program validation.

The role requires 5+ years in truck design, strong engineering processes, and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree is required.
5+ Years experience in designing heavy trucks or their components.
Proficiency with PowerPoint and presentation skills is required.
Proficiency with Excel, Word, Project, and related computer software required.
Ability to learn on the fly and adapt to change.
Demonstrated team player with high level of initiative, follow through and flexibility.
Must be detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking workload.
Proficiency with PACCAR systems, processes, procedures and validation practices & principles.
Use of established engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems.
Requires independent judgment and effective project management skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams and programs

Responsibilities

Ensure Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs) are complete, thorough, and up to date in WRR. Work with Engineering Design and Reliability teams to complete FMEAs.
Identify program risks from FMEAs
Track and review Design Verification Plan and Report (DVPR) in WRR to address program risks.
Track, review and generate Requests for Testing Services (RTS) to validate risks have been successfully mitigated
Ensure validation results from RTSs are documented in the DVPR in WRR
Manage test priorities ensuring higher priority projects have precedent in the testing schedule
Manage test properties, ensuring they are built correctly and on-time to meet program validation deliverables.
Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks.
Work with other Validation Engineer(s) to identify synergies between program tests and test properties, resulting in a more efficient use of validation resources and reduce validation expense.
