Job summary

FEV North America, Inc. is seeking engineering interns to join our powertrain development teams in Auburn Hills, MI.

You will work under a mentor on testing, data analysis, and reporting for vehicle powertrain programs. Preferred candidates are pursuing a BS or MS in mechanical or automotive engineering with fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer; familiarity with engine systems and MS Office; strong communication in English; internship duration typically six to

Qualifications

Pursuing a BS or MS in mechanical or automotive engineering.
Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
Basic understanding of internal combustion engines and aftertreatment systems.
Proficiency with MS Office; MATLAB scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support vehicle testing on road and chassis dynamometer, including conventional and hybrid configurations.
Assist and interact with operations staff in execution of testing tasks.
Data processing and analysis.
Support customer hardware and project component inventory and logistics.
Prepare internal team and customer presentations.
Ability to support second or third shift testing if required.
