Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Powertrain Durability Test Engineer in Atlanta, GA to join the Powertrain Engineering Department and support multiple teams including Powertrain Support, Calibration, Development, Emissions Laboratory, Workshop, and Test Fleet.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years in powertrain development or durability testing. Proficiency with INCA and MATLAB/Simulink is preferred, along with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years in powertrain development, calibration, durability testing, emissions, OBD, or drivability.
• Proficiency with powertrain development and data analysis tools such as INCA and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Working knowledge of engine control units, emissions regulations, diagnostics, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation, readiness, and execution of powertrain durability testing for conventional and electrified development vehicles.
• Monitor vehicle performance, diagnostics, emissions, OBD systems, drivability, and powertrain robustness during testing.
• Perform first-level technical analysis, support root cause investigations, and validate corrective actions with engineering teams.
• Coordinate emissions laboratory testing, vehicle scheduling, test configurations, and review of emissions and OBD results.
• Prepare technical reports, KPI updates, and program status communications with global engineering stakeholders.
