Job summary

TechStar Group in Kentucky is seeking a Digital Engineering (DE) support engineer for Powertrain Unit projects on a 12-month contract with potential extension. The role emphasizes production preparation for ICEs, hybrids, axles, and other powertrain components, with travel up to 15% domestically.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management responsibility (planning, coordination, reporting).
• Intermediate to advanced CAD capability in Autodesk suite (AutoCAD Architecture, Inventor, Navisworks, Vault, Revit, ReCap).
• B.S. in Engineering preferred or technical CAE degree OR 3+ years’ CAE experience.
• Expert in Autodesk applications: AutoCAD Architecture, Inventor Pro, Vault/Vault Data Structure, Revit, ReCap, Navisworks.
• Creo experience plus point cloud data utilization is a bonus.
• Recent experience in 2D and 3D tools.

Responsibilities

• Support Digital Engineering (DE) for Powertrain Unit projects with focus on production preparation elements.
• Create/revise product drawings/models and process drawings with Production Eng teams.
• Perform 3D model comparisons/overlays in Autodesk Inventor, Catia, or similar software; render/buildings/models using Navisworks, Revit.
• Develop production line layouts and equipment installation drawings with production groups.
• Assist in exploring new tools to improve accuracy and efficiency of Production Engineering work.
