Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a senior controls engineer to lead assembly and machining controls for PTO programs. You will implement Siemens/Schneider/Bosch PLC architectures and own the controls deliverables from design through launch.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of PLC, CNC, robot, and vision systems, with experience in RFID and safety standard knowledge. Hybrid onsite four days per week in the US.

Qualifications

• Experience in controls engineering with quick learning of controls knowledge.
• Applied experience with SCL, FC/FB editing and creation.
• Extensive Siemens/Schneider/Bosch PLCs exposure.
• Hands-on ability to troubleshoot PLC/CNC/robot/vision issues.
• Knowledge of assembly and machining RFID systems and safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic prints.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assembly and machining controls engineering deliverables for PTO programs from design through launch.
• Apply standard software/hardware controls architectures per PTO specs.
• Capture lessons learned and apply to new programs and existing standards.
• Lead engineering reviews with Tier I suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in program reviews and represent controls in commodity discussions.
• Drive issue resolution around feasibility, timing, cost, and workload.
• Handle current scope program responsibilities and deliver new model work for Powertrain programs in Ohio.
