Job summary

Kawasaki Motors Retail Finance (KMRF) seeks a detail‑oriented Funder I to support the funding process. You will review documentation, ensure completeness, and assist with timely processing of loan applications in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers onboarding to senior staff, exposure to collateral documentation, and opportunities to learn funding workflows within a FinTech‑style operation in Foothill Ranch, CA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, associate degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in funding or related financial services preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
• Research and problem-solving capabilities; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the funding process for approved loan applications with timely disbursement.
• Communicate with Credit Analysts and Dealer Partners to resolve discrepancies.
• Verify documentation for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Review collateral documentation for accuracy and perfection.
• Use LOS to process funding transactions and maintain records.
• Support post-closing tasks and ensure loan files are complete.
• Collaborate with team to achieve departmental goals.
• Investigate and resolve document and booking questions.
