Job summary

Amentum seeks an Aircraft Mechanic 1 in San Diego, CA to perform daily scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft supporting mission requirements. You may assist with flight schedules and daily flight line operations.

Responsibilities include repairing and replacing aircraft structures and components, inspecting engines and turbine blades, performing preflight and post-flight checks, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years H-60 Aviation Powerplant experience as a qualified CDQAR.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Fuel Surveillance & Confined Space / Fuel Cell Maintenance certification.
• Ability to read and write and interpret technical data and special operating instructions is required.
• An in-depth knowledge of the applicable aircraft is required.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures and components using hand and power tools and testing equipment.
• Reads manuals and specifications to determine repair method.
• Perform preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
• Maintain maintenance records and safety compliance.
