Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to support overhead powerline construction projects in Texas. The role involves operating heavy equipment, adhering to safety standards, and assisting teammates to build, repair, and maintain distribution systems.

Training to improve technical and leadership skills will be provided. Applicants must read/write and communicate effectively, be self-motivated, and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment safely (grounds, cranes, cranes/boom trucks etc.).
• Ability to read/write and communicate effectively.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays as required.
• Able to obtain Commercial Driver's License within 60 days of employment.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing construction, maintenance, or repair on energized and de-energized overhead power lines.
• Inspect rubber goods and PPE.
• Assist with installing transformers, arrestors, cutouts, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Assist in replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
