Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in Texas seeks an Equipment Operator to support construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist your team in building, repairing, and maintaining the power grid safely and efficiently.

The role requires readiness to work outdoors in diverse weather, drive to various locations, operate heavy equipment professionally, and participate in ongoing training to enhance technical and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit within 60 days.
• Able to operate heavy equipment used in powerline construction.
• Able to read/write and communicate effectively.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to work extended periods in various locations.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist team by securing the safety of personnel.
• Assist line-workers in meeting project objectives.
• Join storm restoration efforts as needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment professionally.
• Pursue ongoing training to improve technical and leadership skills.
• Inspect PPE and maintain safety standards.
