Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Columbus, GA is seeking a Powerhouse Technician to keep a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility running. You will troubleshoot and maintain critical utility and industrial systems, performing hands-on maintenance while building expertise in a safe, reliable operation.

The role is 2nd shift, onsite, Monday–Friday, 3:30 pm–11:30 pm, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement, document maintenance, and work with a skilled team in a fast-paced industrial

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical utility systems including steam, condensate, compressed air, cooling water, chillers, cooling towers and electrical distribution.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid systems and related equipment.
• Repair electrical equipment including substations, breakers, motor control centers, and drives.
• Read from blueprints, P&IDs and control schematics to diagnose issues and complete repairs.
• Maintain maintenance logs, coordinate with stockroom for parts, and document follow-up actions.
• Support EHS requirements and participate in training and certifications as assigned.
• Work onsite in varied environments and lift up to 25 lbs; overtime and shift work as needed.
