Job summary

Clarios is hiring a Machine Operator for our Red Oak PowerFrame facility in Red Oak, IA. The role focuses on operating precision equipment to assemble PowerFrame grids used in automotive battery technology.

You will work 12-hour shifts in a high-automation plant with a rotating schedule (2-2-3). The position offers competitive pay starting between $22.67 and $26.67 per hour, with bi-weekly pay and comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Comfortable working in a hot, industrial environment.
• Must wear PPE, including respirator when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate casting, rolling mill, press, and lead pot equipment to produce PowerFrame grids.
• Monitor temperature, flow, speed, and product dimensions.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers.
• Inspect equipment and parts for quality, ensuring conformance to specifications.
• Assist maintenance with PMs, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Handle lead safely following environmental and safety procedures (LOTO, PPE).
• Train and support new operators to ensure safe, efficient performance.
• Document production data and quality checks accurately.
