Job summary

V Group Inc. is seeking a PowerBuilder Application Developer to support the HRA Eligibility Systems unit in Brooklyn, NY onsite. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and enhancing web and mobile applications, with emphasis on consuming legacy COM+ services and integrating XML gateway interfaces.

The candidate will work with ITS staff to plan development strategies, design reports, and handle production incidents while ensuring security and performance requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Proficient in writing application software, data analysis, data access and testing.
• Able to design programs and implementations with strong documentation.
• Experience with data structures, databases, and software conversions.
• Experience documenting technical specifications and user guides.
• Exposure to mainframe, mid-range, and PC environments.
• Lead in design of program specifications and software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and prepares documents for general design of solutions meeting system and security requirements.
• Develops database, communication, hardware, network, security, storage and software specifications.
• Creates structured diagrams for databases, networks and security components.
• Maintains configurations of databases, servers, and security monitoring systems.
• Develops operational procedures for communication networks and storage.
