Job summary

SandTech Solutions in San Antonio, TX is seeking a data-focused BI Engineer to join our team on a full-time, onsite basis. The role emphasizes building reports and dashboards, integrating data from multiple sources, and delivering actionable insights for decision makers.

You will work with SQL-based data platforms, Power BI, and enterprise BI tools, bridging data and business needs while ensuring compliance and scalable visualization across the organization.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in Data Engineering and Business Analytics on large-scale programs.
• 5+ years building reports with Power BI and SQL-based databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test moderate to complex reports using Tableau and Transact-SQL, SSIS, Stored Procedures and Functions in SQL Server.
• Connect to and visualize data on the unified, scalable platform for self-service and enterprise BI that enables deeper insights.
• Bridge the gap between data and decision making.
• Create amazing data experiences.
• Easily connect to, model, and visualize data, creating memorable reports centered on KPIs and branding.
• Get fast, AI-powered answers to business questions through conversational language.

Minimum Clearance Required

• Active Department of Defense TS/SCI Clearance

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering and Business Analytics or related field working on largescale complex programs focused on Data Integration & Analytics.
• 5+ years hands on experience in building reports using PowerBi
• 5+ years of experience creating reports, dashboards, and or summarizing large amounts of data into actionable intelligence to drive business decisions required.
• 5 years of experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySql, or PostgreSQL.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with Query languages (SQL, Kusto, Cosmos, etc.) and reporting visualization technologies such as Power BI.
