Job summary

Leprino Foods Company is seeking a Power & Utilities Technician for our Lubbock, TX facility. The role focuses on safe operation of steam, refrigeration, compressed air, and related systems, with mechanical and electrical maintenance support.

You will calibrate instruments, perform preventative maintenance, and participate in hazmat response as part of a broader quality and safety program. This on-site position requires electrical background, PLC and instrumentation troubleshooting, and

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include 18+ years old, English literacy to follow SOPs and GMPs, and ability to troubleshoot independently.
Experience with electrical controls, pneumatics, instrumentation, and reading schematics is required.
Dairy or food manufacturing experience is preferred.
Familiarity with government/industrial regulations (PSM, OSHA, USDA) and maintenance software (SAP, Maximo) is expected.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance to optimize equipment reliability.
Operate designated power equipment to meet operation modes.
Conduct water treatment tests and adjust equipment to stay compliant.
Communicate effectively with team leads and supervisors.
Maintain 5S standards and perform safe, compliant operations.
Ensure product safety, quality, and regulatory requirements per plans and policies.
