Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Evadale, TX is seeking a Power Superintendent to lead the mill's power, utilities and auxiliary systems. You will ensure safe, reliable operation to support manufacturing and report to the Utilities Manager.

You will oversee frontline leaders, drive continuous improvement, coordinate maintenance and outages, and manage costs while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years related experience.
• Ability to drive performance management and lead teams.
• Strong computer skills including SAP and intranet tools.
• Familiarity with labor contracts and department policies.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and environmental culture across utilities.
• Own day-to-day power and utilities operations for mill.
• Set metrics for reliability, uptime, cost and efficiency.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering and operations.
• Lead front-line leaders and develop staff for succession.
• Manage outages, improvements and capital projects.
