Job summary

Houlihan Lokey, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst within the Financial Restructuring group, based in the Power & Utilities sector.

The role involves supporting advisory mandates for boards, sponsors, owners and investors, and preparing marketing materials for transactions in the energy space. The ideal candidate has at least one year of investment banking experience and a strong foundation in accounting, financial theory, and modelling.

Qualifications

• At least one year of investment banking or similar experience.
• Experience in U.S. power markets, power project finance, trading/marketing, or corporate finance viewed favorably.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory; keen analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support advisory mandates for boards, equity sponsors, owners, investors and other stakeholders in the evaluation, marketing, and execution of transactions.
• Prepare marketing materials, pitches, teasers, and presentations.
• Perform financial analyses including valuations, financing and debt capacity analyses, returns/IRR analyses; interface with industry professionals and consultants.
